For many years, incandescent bulbs were all people knew. But, with rapidly changing technology, LED’s (light-emitting diodes) have become a new choice for consumers. Some of the advantages of LED’s over conventional lighting are that LED’s last longer with a typical lifespan of 30,000 hours compared to the typical 750 hours of a traditional incandescent bulb. LED’s are also more durable and their small size allows them to be used in more applications. The biggest advantage of LED lighting is however, efficiency, by producing lighting without heat. Using less electricity and causing less waste, LED lights help the environment while saving money by reducing energy consumption.
